Assurance Wireless - worst cell phone provider
Here's an update. Things actually got worse.
Assurance sent in another application and California Lifeline now recognized Assurance as my provider. But guess what they did next. They cancelled my service again. Yes, do you believe it?
None of the customer service reps can explain why and ,of course, no supervisor was available, as usual.
They asked me if I wanted to fill out another application. Does this company have anyone in charge?
Received a free cell phone from Assurance Wireless on the California Lifeline program. Reception was poor from the start.
After several attempts by tech support, they replaced the phone. Problem still exists. After 30 days, they cut off my service. Said that California Lifeline removed me from the program.
Called Ca. Lifeline. Said I'm alive and well on the program. Called Assurance back.
Had to purchase minutes on their 'pay as you go' program to get the phone to activate. Now paying 10 cents a minute for a phone that hardly works. Assurance said I need to reapply for the program. No way!
There are plenty of other providers offering the Lifeline program. Tired of the lies and incompetency of Assurance support people. When you ask to speak to a supervisor, there is never one available.
They have all left the sinking ship. This company does not deserve to be in business.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
