Assurance Wireless - Prior tenant died and Assurance has shut off my service because of it!
I just checked with assurancewireless.com. I mailed my application a week ago... HOW DO I GET SOME PRIORITY ASSIGNED TO MY REQUEST??? WHEN I WAS IN CONTACT WITH YOU BEFORE I WAS TOLD TO MENTION THIS REFERENCE NUMBER 199-26*-862.
*If you read the letter that I sent along with YET ANOTHER application you will see the reason for my agitation and anxiety in this matter... EVERY day that goes by without my receiving service is another day that you are punishing me because the previous occupant of my apartment died and his family did not contact you... How on earth you chose to blame me for that is totally beyond me... but it is what you are still doing to me every single day... I AM THE INNOCENT VICTIM IN ALL OF THIS AND YOUR MISTAKE NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED TODAY, PLEASE!!!

I am really growing quite tired in my attempt to make you understand this situation. Perhaps if I lay it all out chronologically for you maybe them you can try to make a better effort in doing soโฆ
On April 15, 2015 I moved to a new apartment.

From the time that I moved into the new apartment the post office was still sending me mail for the prior tenantโฆ That manโs name was Giuseppe DelGizzoโฆ

ยท HE DIED EARLIER THIS YEAR
ยท THE ONLY THING THAT I HAVE IN COMMON WITH HIM IS THE FACT THAT I MOVED INTO WHAT USED TO BE HIS APARTMENT **AFTER HE DIED!!!**
Because his family apparently did not take the correct measures in terminating all of his mail delivery and updating every person and business that he had made contact with, I have been paying the price for itโฆ
I have enclosed a copy of the letter (dated April 28th) In which you โassumedโ that I was now living under the same roof ALONG WITH the late Mr. Del Gizzo.
I called you about it when I got the letter and shortly after that I misplaced it.
Not very long after that I was notified to call in to complete my annual certification.
I did that, and received a confirmation that read โCongratulations! Your eligibility for the federal Lifeline Assistance program has been successfully confirmed during the 2015 annual certification processโฆโ
I assumed that meant that the matter of the late Mr. Del Gizzo was no longer an issue.
Then at the beginning of June I received an email from my brother asking why my cell phone was not ringingโฆ โIt just goes to voicemail, without ringing at allโ
Thatโs when I contacted you to see what the problem wasโฆ
I was told that even though you approved my certification, you still had not received the original letter back from meโฆ and that on May 29 (?) you cancelled my membership and also that of the late Mr. Del Gizzo. (This was done WITHOUT ANY WRITTEN NOTICE TO ME)
Attempting to get the matter resolved I emailed customer service and submitted another applicationโฆ AT THAT TIME I INFORMED YOU THAT I WAS GOING INTO THE HOSPITAL. I HAD 2 SURGERIES SCHEDULED. THE FIRST WAS JUNE 8th AND THE NEXT ONE WAS JUNE 12thโฆ. I TOLD YOU THAT BECAUSE OF THIS I WOULD BE AWAY FOR ABOUT "2 MONTHSโ
BECAUSE I LIVE ALONE, (PER MY REQUEST) ALL OF MY MAIL WAS TO BE HELD AT THE POST OFFICE UNTIL MY RETURN.
One *** of a lot of good that did me!!! About the 3rd week in July, one of my friends was kind enough to go to the post office and collect my mail for me.
Upon going through that mail I discovered another letter from you. It told me that because I โdid not select a program or number of family membersโ my application was not being approvedโฆ Reading further on down in that letter it told me to complete yet another application and return it by June 24th. A response after that date could result in a denied applicationโฆ โJUNE 24th!!!โ It was already the 3rd week in Julyโฆ LIKE I TOLD YOU, I WAS GOING TO BE AWAY FROM HOME FOR 2 MONTHS!!!โฆ So there I was, facing yet ANOTHER DENIAL!!!
When I called about this latest letter I was told that you were STILL WAITING for me to return the letter that I had misplaced asking me if I was living with someone else who was also receiving Assurance Wireless.
I (FINALLY) now have a copy of that damned letter that you have chosen to torment me aboutโฆ If you look at the instructions regarding the letter it says to complete the form and return it โIf you live at this address with others who are NOT part of your household, please fill out the enclosed Lifeline Household Worksheet so we can evaluate your eligibility for Lifeline Serviceโ
If you read that high-lighted sentence perhaps you will see it as I do: SINCE I DO NOT LIVE HERE WITH ANYONE ELSE HOW CAN I BE EXPECTED TO FILL IT OUT??? .. AND YET YOU HAVE CHOSEN TO TORMENT ME ABOUT THIS, ALL BECAUSE THE PRIOR TENANT OF THIS APARTMENT DIED AND HIS RELATIVES APPARENTLY WERE STILL USING HIS FREE CELL PHONE UNTIL YOU CHOSE TO SHUT IT OFFโฆ
Last Month I had to pay $20.00 to Virgin Wireless just so I could have cell phone service, because of how impossible you have made this situation for me.

Now I'm being told that my latest application is being denied because there is no apartment # on it... BUT, IT WAS WRITTEN ON THE SEVERAL OTHER APPLICATIONS THAT I FILED THIS YEAR ALREADY!!! What the *** does it take for these *** to do their job?!?!?! Customer service...***!!!
